Real score: 167 - Applying this year

Sorry it’s a little out of focus! I’m much better with my camera now, I promise.

Real score: 177 - Accepted to Yale Law School

After talking with three other tutors, I chose Nick because I trusted his training in philosophy and because his explanation of a question I brought to a consultation made the most sense to me. We had nine sessions together and I estimate that he increased my score by around 5-6 points, which is a very large margin for me. (I took the exam once so have no frame of reference, but counterfactually, if I didn't have him as my tutor I think I might have scored at 171-2.) Nick has an excellent grasp of all three sections, gave me helpful tips on time management and making fewer mistakes, identified my weaknesses and focused on those question types, and patiently went over all the questions I'd gotten wrong or wasn't sure of. Nick is attentive to the student's needs and goals, and he is always supportive and accommodating. Having him as my tutor made studying for the LSAT infinitely more bearable. If you put in the work, he will help you get to where you want to be!

Real score: 171 - Applying This Year

Nick was so helpful at helping me prep for the LSAT! I went to Nick about three weeks before my test date, hoping to break into the 170's. He really helped me with my consistency, figuring out and thoroughly addressing the core issues with my testing. Nick is incredibly patient and doesn't mind (or make you feel guilty) if you need things repeated several times. He's really easy to talk to and personable, which I can't say about other tutors. I definitely recommend working with Nick, and I wish I worked with him earlier than I did.

Real score: 172 - Harvard Law School

Nick was the best LSAT tutor I could have asked for--and I tried a few of the big test prep companies before finding him. Thanks to his ability to figure out why I was struggling with the types of problems that I was answering wrong, we were able to improve my score by 15 points. Nick was always available to work around my schedule, including by using video chat or phone calls when I was traveling for work, and his great advice throughout the application process helped me with much more than just the LSAT. Not only was he a great teacher and application consultant, but Nick is fun, encouraging, and easy to work with--he is the best part of what can be a stressful process! I started studying at Harvard Law School this year, and I wouldn't be here without him.

Real Score: 170 - U of Chicago Law

I walked in without ever having looked at a single LSAT problem; I was as unprepared as can possibly be. But in just a couple months, Nick taught me everything I needed to know to succeed on the exam. Nick has a mastery of the material and is super clear. Most importantly, he is very encouraging throughout the entire process (he also has a great sense of humor). I definitely would not have scored as high as I did without him. Nick really helps you achieve your full potential on the LSAT, and that's about the best thing you can hope for in a teacher.

Real score: 168 - USC Gould School of Law

A few weeks before my exam, I felt as though I was stuck in one score range and could not figure out how to improve. Nick was able to talk me through it and constantly gave me different ideas and suggestions on how to improve. If one strategy did not work for me, he was able to offer me an alternative until something did work. After taking the exam twice, I was able to improve my score from 156 to 168 and I have Nick to thank for that.

Rashi M.

Real score: 162 - Vanderbilt Law School

I had Nick as a private tutor for about 8 months. I’ve worked with other tutors before, but Nick was the most helpful and effective in increasing my score. My goal was to go to a top 20-law school, and Nick helped me get there. He helped me improve my score by 12 points. The LSAT is a challenging exam, but Nick is very patient and understanding. Reading comprehension was my weakest section, but he was always encouraging and pragmatic about how to approach those sections. He was always very punctual and flexible with my schedule, especially since my schedule was unpredictable at times. He understands this exam very well and it’s visible in his approach. He was extremely responsive, helpful, and willing to go above and beyond. I would highly recommend him for anyone looking to go to a top school!

Real score: 170 - UC Berkeley Law School

As someone who has worked with Nick for both LSAT prep and admissions consulting, I’ve got to say, he’s a fantastic teacher and an equally fantastic writer. Nick was my instructor at [PREVIOUS LSAT PREP COMPANY], and even in a room full of fifteen people, he managed to give personalized attention to each and every one of his students. He’s also very funny and engaging which made the whole process a lot more bearable.

I was also impressed with Nick’s professionalism when he helped edit my personal statement. When I came to him, he recognized that I did not need as much help on it as some of his other clients. He did not try to oversell me on his services and when all I asked for was high-level general criticism, he gave me exactly that. His attention to detail and remarkable ability to eloquently organize prose makes him shine above other consultants.

Nick is an absolute joy to work with and I would recommend him to anyone who sees law school in their future.

Nick’s advice, support, and expertise were enormously important in elevating my essays to where I wanted them to be. I started with a couple ideas for what I wanted to talk about, but they didn’t quite mesh the way I wanted them to. Thanks to Nick I was able to tie the disparate elements of my application together to tell my story in a coherent and compelling way. As I refined my essays, his skill as an editor was indispensable in distilling my writing down to the required length while enhancing my prose. Nick’s recommendations helped me make important decisions in the application process, such as whether to submit an addendum. The best money I spent for this whole application process!
